SANTA CLARA, CA – June 7, 2016 – Flash Memory Summit (FMS) opens pre-registration today for its August 9-11 event that will help attendees use NVMe, 3D XPoint™, 3-D flash, and emerging non-volatile memory technologies more effectively. Its top industry keynotes, invited speakers, and major exhibitors offer system designers information about major trends and the latest products. FMS leads the way to more powerful applications in wearables, media and entertainment, big data, enterprise, and automotive. 14 keynoters provide insight from such companies as Facebook, Samsung, Seagate, SanDisk, Micron, SK Hynix, Microsemi, Toshiba, Huawei, and Marvell.
“NVMe is the hottest topic in flash today, since it leads to SSDs with PCIe-level throughput and full standardization,“ said Tom Coughlin, FMS Conference Chairperson. Everyone agrees that storage has to become much bigger, faster, and cheaper to meet the challenges of big data, real-time analysis, cloud computing, and virtual reality. FMS empowers designers to make the right decisions for current projects.
Key sessions cover 3-D flash, RRAM, MRAM, SSDs, life beyond flash, flash on the memory bus, and persistent memory and its applications. Several sessions touch on the widely touted 3D XPoint memory technology (low-cost non-volatile memory at DRAM speeds) originally announced last year by Intel and Micron.
FMS blows the lid off the latest technology trends, the most newsworthy products, and the broadest coverage of a rapidly expanding market. In 2015, FMS drew over 5,000 registrants and 100 exhibitors. The 2016 version already expects a 30% increase in exhibitors. The conference also features annual updates, market research sessions, performance testing results, and a VC Forum.
Flash Memory Summit, produced by Conference ConCepts, showcases the mainstream applications, key technologies, and leading vendors that are driving the multi-billion dollar non-volatile memory and SSD markets. FMS is now the world’s largest event featuring the trends, innovations, and influencers driving the adoption of flash memory in demanding enterprise storage applications, as well as in smartphones, tablets, and mobile and embedded systems.
