SANTA CLARA, CA – July 13, 2016 – The Flash Memory Summit (FMS) features over 40 presentations on NVM Express® (NVMe), which offers a fully standardized way to access SSDs over the popular PCIe bus. Storage transfers can thus achieve much higher data rates than disk interfaces can provide. Designers should attend FMS to get the latest information about NVMe from leading implementors, including Cisco, Dell, EMC, Intel, Micron, Microsemi, Microsoft, NetApp, Samsung, Broadcom, Mellanox, QLogic, Synopsys, VMware, Seagate, Xilinx, Silicon Motion, and Western Digital.
FMS kicks off with a pre-conference seminar from industry leader KnowledgeTek. The seminar will get attendees up to speed on all the details about NVMe. NVM Express, Inc. provides an all-day session covering upgrades, trends, directions, and lessons learned from real-world examples. Other sessions will cover subjects such as data center architectures, data protection, flash translation layers, and array performance. Attendees will learn how to use the interface IDC predicts will dominate both enterprise and client SSDs by 2018.
“NVMe is the right approach for storage designers who want full standardization and top performance from their SSDs,“ said Larry Chisvin, Product Planning for PCIe Switching Products at Broadcom and organizer of the NVM Express, Inc. all-day session at Flash Memory Summit.
FMS delivers the latest technology trends, showcases the most newsworthy products, and offers the broadest coverage of a rapidly expanding market. The August 9-11 event at the Santa Clara Convention Center features free keynotes by top speakers from Facebook, Micron, Samsung, SanDisk, Toshiba, Marvell, SK Hynix, Huawei, Seagate, Microsemi, EMC, Nimbus Data, Crossbar, and Mangstor. The conference also provides annual updates, market research sessions, performance testing results, and a VC Forum. Early Bird registration is now open.
Flash Memory Summit, produced by Conference ConCepts, showcases the mainstream applications, key technologies, and leading vendors that are driving the multi-billion dollar non-volatile memory and SSD markets. FMS is now the world’s largest event featuring the trends, innovations, and influencers driving the adoption of flash memory in demanding enterprise storage applications, as well as in smartphones, tablets, and mobile and embedded systems.
