Get ready. Self-driving cars are already on Phoenix and Boston streets. These new vehicles generate vast amounts of data that must be stored. This year’s Flash Memory Summit (FMS) features a daylong track on the latest tech in automotive. The conference takes place August 8-10 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, where Silicon Valley technology meets the automotive industry.
All autonomous vehicle industry participants need to understand the impact of the three leading trends driving today’s auto industry – Autonomy, Electrification, and Connectivity. Although current flash memory use in the auto industry is relatively small, it will grow by leaps and bounds as these trends become reality. For example, Intel estimates that a self-driving car will generate 4 terabytes of data every 90 minutes.
Get the latest facts and technology updates at the full day’s lineup of automotive speakers. Henry Bzeih, Managing Director, Connected & Mobility Division of KIA Motors will deliver a potent keynote on “How Flash Memory Will Affect Tomorrow’s Automobiles.” In support of his talk, KIA is providing a display car, the new KIA Stinger Grand Touring vehicle, set for introduction late in 2017. Mr. Bzeih will highlight the extensive use of flash memory in the KIA Stinger.
Other speakers at the Flash Memory Summit (FMS) will cover:
